Keele Nightline is a confidential Listening and Information Service, available to all Keele students. We operate between the hours of 9pm and 3am, every night during the semester, a time when few other services are available. We understand that coming to University is a very exciting prospect for most students, and some individuals will ease through their degree without ever encountering any problems. However, for some students, University can present the occasional problem, whether it is personal or academic. Keele Nightline offers students the opportunity to talk through any issues, problems or worries anonymously. Our volunteers provide a supportive listening ear without ever judging or advising. No matter how long a student wants to talk, Keele Nightline volunteers will always give their undivided attention and create a safe and caring environment for all our callers. |
Keele Nightline also provides numbers for services On and Off campus, National and Local organisations and we have lots of take-away numbers! So if you fancy a pizza but have lost your menu, if you’re stuck outside your block and have lost your Keele card, if your neighbour is getting on your nerves by playing loud music late at night and you don’t know who to call… Keele Nightline has the numbers that can help. |
Keele Nightline is totally: Confidential – Details of a call are never discussed outside of Nightline. No-one will know you called. Anonymous – You don’t have to say your name. Sometimes, it’s easier to speak to someone you don’t know, so Nightline volunteers don’t say their name either. Non-judgemental – Nightline will never pass judgement. You can talk to Nightline, in confidence about anything. Non-directive – You decide what you want to talk about. Non-advisory – Nightline will not try to solve the problem for you, but we can help our callers to reach their own solution or resolution. Opening hours – Nightline is open from 9pm-3am, every night of the semester. |
